MODERN DAY HEROES was founded in 2006 by Serge Christen (vox, git), Yves Fontana (bass) and Heinz Baumann (drums). The band, known for their energetic rock'n'roll live shows, has released two EPs and four studio albums in their 17-year band history. The trio with their "earthy, straightforward guitar rock and just the right amount of snotty cheekiness" - as the press likes to describe the typical MDH sound - is clearly most comfortable on stage. Live on the road between Liverpool and Los Angeles, the band has rocked headline shows and among many others, also with big bands like Motörhead, Bon Jovi, Billy Idol, H-Blockx or Unwritten Law, more than 200 stages. After the release of their last studio album at the end of 2019, the pandemic years also abruptly ended the planned live tour of Modern Day Heroes and brought the band back to the studio. The result is the album Stars&Skies which will be released on vinyl beginning of 2024. In the meantime, however, the band has already brought out a guitar-heavy harbinger as an EP with Dust&Flames to duly announce the new album.
